MUSH...MUSH...MUSH...

WORK HARDER, STRESS MORE AND REPEAT IT TOMORROW!
Whew we’re so hard on ourselves, we work like dogs! Half the time our companies are pushing us to do more with less, to worker longer hours, add more to our plates to get more done with less staff to do it and it’s exhausting. Then we put all those same pressures on ourselves, our relationships, our families, and friends and it gets worse. Why do we do this to ourselves?
I really believe we need to love what we do for a living, we spend more time with the people we work with after all than we do in our intimate personal relationships. We see our coworkers 40-60 hours a week, but we see our significant others or our family at the start and end of our days; we maybe get a weekend or two with them on top of it and that’s just not enough. I think with all we have to do, or “choose” to do, we might want to rethink why we do it, or why we push so hard and what we really value.
So when we talk about the evil concept of “NETWORKING” our excuse is we have NO TIME! So we wait until we need something to show up. That’s the biggest mistake we can make. At that point it’s just too darn late. So think about it, consider what you want, love and need, think about that the people you know need, think about if you would like to make a shift in your life to loving what you do, not working like dogs. We all have options and working hard is something I appreciate, but not to excluding your life as you go!
Remember, “The Journey IS the thing!”
I hope we see you this week and next at our events. We’ll shift your perspective on Networking from the GET to the GIVE!
