HITTING THAT WALL?

Sometimes we hit walls, and at that moment of impact all is lost, we get down on ourselves or others, we question our value and our journey and we begin to assess and reassess how it happened. But at that moment we also make a decision and I think this really defines two very different types of people.

One type is the type I used to be...negative, blameful of others, arrogant and expecting someone else to fix the problem as it was never, ever my fault. I would then stall and waller in anger, resentment and pain.

The other type is one who realizes that any action is just life happening, and they know that how we choose to react and act is the difference between the two types of people. They pick themselves up, still doing the same assessment and reassessments, but they own it, fix it, learn from it and move forward understanding that forward motion is all that ultimately matters.

One of my favorite quotes is:

"You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination." -Ralph Marston

Don't let the wall stop you, it may slow you down a bit and sometimes we all need a little slowing, but your next steps can make the difference between a positive and negative future for you.

And the best part is, you are the only one who gets to decide!
