FEELING THE NEED TO ASK AN OPEN QUESTION OR TWO?

Why do we still recite the following in this country when so many of you don't own and embrace its words?

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

It seems to me that so many of you don't believe this, or you simply ignore it and aspects of our Constitution whenever your respective God's speak to you on Sunday. Liberty? Justice? God? Indivisible? Shall we get out a dictionary together folks?

It's very simple:

STOP HATING IN THE NAME OF YOUR GOD, STOP USING GOD, BIBLE AND YOUR VERSION OF YOUR FAITH AS YOUR EXCUSE TO EXCLUDE THOSE WHO ARE DIFFERENT THAN YOU, AND EMBRACE THAT WE ARE 'ALL' HUMAN AND IN THEORY ALL MADE IN GOD'S VERY IMAGE.

Perhaps then in that humanity, accept those with differing preferences of whom they choose to sleep with, worship with, love and build lives with. Is it so very hard for you to accept that some are Gay, Black, Jew, Muslim, Disabled, Poorer , Uglier or less Talented than you and just accept it? Your God made these folks right? And God can't fuck up right? So he did it intentionally in his own image. We are all handed a different life and a different set of challenges but if you are to be judged, don't you think the judgment will more than likely include how you lived your life here? How you treated others? And on whom you slammed the doors?

I am not currently a Christian and no longer believe in your God's because there is not a faith on this planet I could subscribe to. By that I mean I refuse to extract a single line of the Bible like many of you do daily and edit it for my own purposes and excuses to hate or exclude others! It would be wrong of me to belong to your churches right now, because it would mean someone I care about would be excluded and I would have to look them in the eye and come up with an honest and good reason why the door was shut to them!

I cannot subscribe to the idea that any God that created someone in his or her own image just to allow you all to create suffering in their life! Who gives you that right? God?

Living life, finding love, holding those you care for close is hard enough without your hatred and tactics and activism adding to that hatred. Shame on you! Shame on your faith, and shame on the very idea that you think you have any right to judge another in any way.

If you do believe in God, may he or she help you on judgment day when you arrive at those pearly gates you all think you will enter, and it says as you are saying now: 'You are not welcome here'.

I saw this the other day and it really resonated for me because of those of you so full of hatred. It made me wonder why you all hang on and give your money to any church or faith that excludes.

"GOD IS NOTHING MORE THAN AN IMAGINARY FRIEND FOR ADULTS"

And yes, that's what I believe right now. Prove that wrong and clean up your act with actions and love that will actually make this world a better place. And one day soon, when you take your final trip North...maybe whatever it is you think is there, will allow you in without judgment of the shit you are pulling down here.
